What is The TR3+ Approach?

At The Herschthal Practice, we firmly believe in a more holistic approach to cosmetic dermatology. That is why we cultivated our TR3+ approach because we know that superior results come from addressing more than just the most glaringly obvious issues. TR3+ encompasses almost everything that we do at The Herschthal Practice.

The Basics of TR3+

TR3+ can be broken down into 4 (+1) distinct steps that we believe are a comprehensive way to treat many common skin complaints and issues that pop up over time as we age.

1 – Tighten

The very first step is to tighten the skin. We offer a choice of Ultherapy, Kybella, NovaThreads, and SculpSure because they are FDA approved and have achieved positive results for many people. Kybella is notable for being the first and only FDA approved injectable that is capable of destroying the fat cells that are responsible for creating a double-chin. Because your jawline is a critical part of what shapes your features, treatment with Kybella is extremely effective at providing dramatic results!

2 – Revolumize

When it comes to filling out the face and revolumizing it, dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero can get the job better than anything else. A natural part of the aging process is that we lose fullness in parts of the skin due to the deterioration of how we carry fat, our bone and muscle density.

Tightening the skin isn’t enough, we also need to make it fuller in the right places so that any tautness which is achieved can have something to accentuate.

3 – Relax

In general, most people associate aging with a kind of gradual sagging, a relaxation of the skin. When we say relax, this is not what we refer to. It is more like a highly selective process of choosing which muscles under the skin, in particular, to relax or immobilize so that they refrain from creating wrinkles or pulling the skin in undesirable ways. In other words, the goal is to tighten the skin but relax certain key muscles to create balance.

Popular injectables such as Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport do exactly this.

4 – Resurface

The resurfacing step refers to using lasers, chemical peels, and microneedling/microdermabrasion techniques to treat the outer layer of your skin which undoubtedly takes the most beating. Sun exposure, not enough moisturizing, physical factors such as wrinkling and just plain old aging can do a number to your epidermis.

Plasma Pen treatments are things that can be used to dramatically alter and improve the surface of your skin by reducing wrinkles and removing blemishes as well as stimulate the production of collagen.

Plus – Skincare

The + in TR3+ refers to a dedicated and informed skincare regimen. No matter what technique or treatment you undergo, a good skin routine is something that will help sustain the results of any procedure you choose to receive. If you’ve never visited our practice before, we often consult with our patients about adopting a skincare routine that is customized and particular to our patient’s needs. We want all of our customers to get the best results out of our procedures by continuing to take care of their skin before they come in and after they leave.

This can be achieved through using highly particular products such as topical medications, mineral-free and chemical-free sunblocks, as well as any other cosmetic supplies that can work around the unique needs of your skin.
