BOTOX is a name that needs no introduction. Since its inception many decades ago, many alternative injectables of equal effectiveness have surfaced to help mitigate or deal with wrinkles. Nowadays, the options people have for treating wrinkles are varied depending on the patient’s needs.
What is Jeuveau®?
Jeuveau® is an injectable that utilizes a form of botulinum toxin so that it can relax small muscles that are responsible for causing wrinkles over time. Like BOTOX, Jeuveau® can be used preemptively by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles through making expressions. It is an FDA approved cosmetic treatment.
What Should I Expect from Jeuveau® Treatment?
Jeuveau® is administered via injection to the area in which the person wishes to reduce wrinkling. Typically, this is in between the brows or in the outer eye area which are common spots for wrinkling. Injections typically do not take more than 30 minutes and so they are ideal for those who are short on time.
Will I Experience Side Effects After Injection?
Side effects are typically very mild and are mostly due to the injection itself, not the injectable. Redness and swelling localized to the injection site are common and will disappear after a few days. After the symptoms fade, the results of the treatment will be visible for approximately 6 months or longer in some cases.
Can I Start and Stop Jeuveau®?
One of the best things about injectable treatments is that there is no timeline save for what your personal goals are. You can get Jeuveau® or any other injectable and refrain from treatment for a whole year if you wish. Similarly, you can receive injectables treatment every 6 months or for whatever period your chosen professional deems is best.

How Much Does Jeuveau® Cost?

Generally speaking, Jeuveau® is more affordable than BOTOX or Xeomin and just as effective depending on what the patient’s goals are. During your consultation at The Herschthal Practice, we can help you determine all of these factors and more so that you have a realistic cost estimate and timeline for your beauty goals.
