During the V-Lase® treatment, a specially designed probe device is inserted into the vaginal canal. This device is slowly rotated as it emits laser energy, triggering collagen production in the vaginal tissue. Although patients may feel a mild warming sensation, this process is typically quite comfortable and does not require any anesthetic. If desired, we can use a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort, although it is rarely necessary. After just 15 minutes, the treatment is complete.

Is There Any Downtime After the V-Lase® Treatment?

The V-Lase® treatment is non-surgical and uses only gentle laser energy, eliminating the need for any downtime or recovery period. Patients are able to return to work and other activities immediately, including sexual intercourse.

When Will I Notice Results from V-Lase® Vaginal Rejuvenation?

V-Lase® triggers collagen production in the vaginal tissue during treatment, meaning that the body will immediately begin to restore and strengthen the vaginal tissue. However, it can take a few weeks before the results from this process are noticeable. Some patients begin to notice results in as little as two weeks, although the timeline for each patient can vary. Within six months, patients will notice the full results from treatment, enjoying a tighter feel, increased lubrication, more control over their bladder, and even an increase in sexual gratification. The number of treatments required to achieve these results will vary by patient, although a series of three V-Lase® treatments is typically recommended.
